Medical Director for Morgan State University's University Health Center to provide strategic clinical leadership, direct urgent care services, and oversee clinical operations and health initiatives for a diverse student population. Role includes delivering direct patient care, coordinating community partnerships and specialty referrals, administering student health insurance-related services, and promoting health education and wellness. Serves on Student Affairs leadership team to integrate clinical expertise into campus-wide wellbeing programs and continuous improvement of the health center.
Morgan State University seeks a collaborative and forward-thinking leader to serve as the Medical Director of the University Health Center ( UHC ). This newly established full-time role reflects the University s significant growth and commitment to strengthening student health and well-being and offers an opportunity to help build the next phase of student healthcare at Morgan.
The UHC currently provides on-campus primary medical services and coordinates access to off-campus and specialty care through community partnerships. The Center also delivers health education to promote wellness and administers the student health insurance plan.
Reporting to the Division of Student Affairs leadership, the Medical Director is responsible for advancing the mission of the UHC by providing strategic clinical leadership. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an innovative leader to shape and enhance healthcare delivery for a diverse student population and advance a holistic model of care that integrates treatment, prevention, health education, and wellness. The Medical Director will provide direct clinical care while overseeing the entire health center team. In partnership with the UHC leadership team, the Medical Director will guide the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical operations and health initiatives that advance the well-being of students and the broader campus community. As a member of the Student Affairs leadership team, the Medical Director will serve as a change agent, contributing clinical expertise to University-wide wellness efforts and helping create a campus environment that supports student health, learning, success, and wellbeing.
