An Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist provides evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric patients, including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions. They develop and adjust treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and coordinate with family and case managers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Additionally, they participate in teaching psychiatry residents and maintain accurate clinical documentation in a behavioral health hospital setting.
- Job Description
- Provide evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients including prescribing medications and/or other psychotherapeutic interventions
- Develop treatment plans, measure progress against the plans, and make adjustments as needed
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists to assess and adjust treatment plans
- Coordinate and communicate with case managers, family members and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care
- Participate in the teaching of psychiatry residents, students and other trainees
- 82-bed behavioral health hospital located in Brockton, MA.

- Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy Degree or the foreign equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry
- Current valid unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry and no Medicare or Medicaid sanctions
- Current valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate
