A leading health system in northern Illinois is seeking a board eligible or certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their cardiology team in Rockford. The role involves providing advanced cardiac diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms and stress tests, participating in innovative treatments, and engaging in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents. Candidates must hold an MD or DO, possess or be eligible for an Illinois medical license and DEA license, and maintain board certification within five years of eligibility.
Position Overview Leading health system in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a growing cardiology team recognized as the preferred provider for cardiac services across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The group leads in cardiovascular innovation, delivering advanced procedures and treatments in state-of-the-art facilities ideal for patients and professionals. Practice Details Dedicated heart hospital with non-invasive lab for echocardiograms, TEEs, tilt table, and stress tests. Participation in developing new procedures and treatments, including CardioMEMS and Watchman, with plans to expand into TAVR. APP support for efficient workflow and patient management. Large referral base from over 100 primary care providers in the medical group. Teaching opportunities with medical students and family medicine residents, plus academic appointment available with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. Excellent tertiary specialty support from academic partners. Candidate Requirements MD or DO. Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain prior to start. Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to or upon hire. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology; board certification required within 5 years of eligibility. Current CPR certification preferred.
