The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery services during overnight shifts at a Level II Trauma Center, managing high-acuity patients independently. - Experience:
- Minimum 2 years trauma surgery experience, or
- Completion of a surgical fellowship
- Not accepting new graduates
- Autonomous practice capability: Required
- Licensure: Active or eligible Colorado NP license (implied-confirm as needed)
- EMR: Epic required
- Provide comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery care during overnight shifts
- Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across all inpatient settings
- Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and create treatment plans
- Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitations, and operative support
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, privileging, and quality/safety standards
- Participate in ongoing education, mentorship, and potential leadership development
- High-acuity environment requiring independent decision-making
- Not a temporary or transitional role; full-time permanent commitment required
