Locum Tenens Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Physician Needed in Washington

We have an opening for a dedicated physician to provide supplemental coverage starting on March 1, 2024, and continuing until a permanent provider is found. The facility requires coverage for both outpatient and inpatient settings, and the selected physician will work during scheduled clinical hours plus on-call responsibilities. The patient load per shift is to be determined based on the specific needs of the department. While admissions are not required, the physician will be responsible for rounding on assigned patients.

The ideal candidate should be board certified in Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology and have the necessary certifications, including ACLS. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and is open to accepting multiple providers.

For this locum tenens assignment, the physician will be supported by a team of medical professionals, including RNs, MAs, and additional office staff. Supervision of advance practice providers will be required, making this an excellent opportunity for a physician with leadership skills.

The call schedule involves night call every other week and weekend call coverage from Friday pm to Monday am every other weekend. The call response time required is 20 minutes, and phone consults will be determined as needed.
