Seeking a Registered Nurse for Pediatric Operating Room providing perioperative care to pediatric surgical patients in a hospital setting. Requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS with ACLS/PALS preferred, and 1+ years of pediatric/OR/surgical experience; responsibilities include maintaining aseptic OR environment, monitoring vitals, and assisting intraoperative care per AORN standards. Qualifications:
- ADN or higher degree in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a pediatric, operating room (OR) and/or surgical setting preferred
- Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric surgical patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with AORN standards
- Maintain an aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room
- Assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing nursing and technical duties as assigned
- Monitor patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during surgery
- Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical procedure and postoperative care
