At times, you may have the opportunity to lend your expertise at other MEPS locations regionally or nationwide as available.Duties:Play a vital role in the mission of USMEPCOM-helping ensure that only the most qualified and medically fit applicants join the U.S. Armed Forces to defend our nation.Support the enlistment process by guiding applicants through aptitude testing, medical evaluations, security screenings, administrative processing, and ultimately, their transition into service.Conduct critical medical reviews-including applicant histories, medical evaluations, and analysis of test results-to uphold the medical standards established by Congress and the Military Services, ensuring the readiness and strength of America's fighting force. ScheduleServe during standard U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) hours, typically , Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duty in support of the mission.Shifts range between 5 and 10 consecutive hours within the MEPS operating schedule, giving you a predictable and structured workday.Duty schedules are provided 30 days in advance, ensuring clarity and work-life balance.Enjoy all 11 Federal Holidays off, while contributing to a mission that directly supports our Armed Forces. RequirementsDegree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.Completion of an accredited US residency program, preferably in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine.Board Certification in a US accredited body, preferably in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine.Experience: Two years in the last three years prior clinical primary care, urgent care or emergency medicine experienceAny active State Medical licenseCurrent Basic Life Support certification Company Overview:At SHR, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
