We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Fort Wayne, IN. This position involves conducting a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams. This role is ideal for physicians who want to work in a non-treatment capacity, providing critical evaluations for Veterans. The position is PRN, meaning it will be on an as-needed basis, with flexible scheduling options available.

- Perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams for Veterans.
- Conduct non-treatment C&P (Compensation & Pension) exams and separation health assessments.
- Exams are interview-based, with some physical assessment required (e.g., range of motion, muscle strength testing).
- Submit standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours after completing each exam.
- No prescribing and no ongoing treatment required.
- PRN basis with ongoing need for coverage.
- Flexible scheduling options:
- Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
- Two options for coverage:
- Travel to perform exams at designated facilities.
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice.
- No Emergency/Temp Privileges required.
- Fast credentialing and onboarding process.
- No narrative report writingonly standardized forms (DBQs).
- Exams primarily focus on assessing physical abilities such as range of motion and muscle strength.
- Use of Goniometer required for range of motion testing.
- Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio evaluations is preferred.
- Experience with METs testing and evaluating conditions related to respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems is required.
- Physicians must use their own personal laptop (no Macs allowed).
- Must be Board Certified in one of the following specialties:
- Neurology
- Neurosurgery
- PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation)
- State License: Active Indiana license required.
- Training on Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) will be provided.
- Must be able to submit final DBQs within 48 hours after completing the exams.
- Flexible scheduling that accommodates either part-time or full-time availability.
- Work in a non-treatment role and make a direct impact by assisting Veterans with their medical evaluations.
- Earn CME credits through required DMA certification.
