Position Overview:

A well-established hospital near Macon, Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide full emergency department coverage. This locum tenens role offers a predictable schedule with no call, supported by a high-volume facility utilizing EPIC EMR.

Position Details:

• Shifts: (6 AM 6 PM; 6 PM 6 AM) w/ 9a-1a daily APP Backup

• Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 31,758

• Average Patients Per Day: 83

• Emergency Department Beds: 22

• Trauma Level: Level IV

• Backup Specialties: Available onsite

• Scribe Coverage: Not specified

• EMR System: EPIC

Requirements:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM accepted)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required

• Active Georgia medical license

• Must complete full payer enrollment

• Immunizations: TB test, flu vaccine, N95 fit test required (waivers considered)

Privileging & Onboarding:

• Privileging timeframe: 60-90 days (expedited locum privileges available upon credentials committee approval)

• Orientation and EMR training required
