Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: North Richland Hills, TX 76180 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860 – $2,000

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or acute care nursing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and clinical assessment skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery in a cardiac stepdown setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, cardiac treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-operative cardiac care and recovery
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
