About the Central Scheduling and Staffing Office (CSSO) department:
We’re seeking a facility float, RN to join our team in our Centralized Nursing Resources department. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across multiple units at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the Orthopedic Hospital. Join a team-oriented environment that values teamwork, team member engagement, and community involvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
- Two years of acute nursing experience required.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to plan and prioritize care interventions.
- Engage in dialogue with patients and support systems.
- Mentor and support team members through precepting, orientation, and conflict resolution.
- Appropriately delegate tasks while ensuring patient safety.
- Float to other units at NHRMC.
