We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Huntingdon Valley, PA. This is a fantastic chance to provide gastroenterology services in both an office and hospital setting, with a flexible schedule that includes on-call coverage. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible, hold an active Pennsylvania medical license, and have experience with common GI procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy. Position Overview: Job Title: Gastroenterologist (Locum Tenens) Location: Near Huntingdon Valley, PA Start Date: As soon as credentialing is complete Contract Duration: Approximately 3 months with possible extensions Shift & Call Schedule: Weekday and weekend 24-hour call coverage Every 3rd weekend on-call Night call on Fridays Practice Setting: Office, hospital, and endoscopy suite Daily Patient Volume: 12-20 office/clinic patients per day Onsite Services: Lab and X-ray available Job Requirements: Board Certification/Eligibility: Gastroenterology board-certified or truly board-eligible Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience: Must be proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures Vaccination Requirement: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required EMR System: Experience with EPIC is highly preferred Additional Details: Call Coverage: 24-hour coverage required during weekdays and weekends Onsite Facilities: The clinic and hospital have a fully equipped endoscopy suite, along with lab and imaging services.
