Position Overview: Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Dates: ASAP - Ongoing Shift Type: Days Rate Type: Daily Coverage Details: Options for Coverage: Travel and perform exams at a VES leased facility Schedule Veterans within your own practice Shift Options: Work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours) Exam Type: One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + separation health assessments Responsibilities: Conduct interviews and physical assessments including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams No prescribing or treatment required Qualifications: Board Certification: Required in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) State License: Required in Washington Certifications: DMA certification (CME credits available) must obtain if not already certified; client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training Equipment: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) Required Skills: Use of Goniometer, familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio; proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Additional Information: Credentialing Timeframe: Quick credentialing & onboarding Support: Normal nursing and tech support available at the facility This locum tenens role offers flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact on Veterans' health while working in a supportive environment.
