The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to cut, punch, form, and insert fasteners into sheet metal, including copper materials. The role requires reading blueprints, maintaining dimensional accuracy, and performing routine equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This position emphasizes attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently on the second shift.
Our client, a leader in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: $23
Shift:2:30p-11p Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate CNC equipment (Amada/Trumpf combo machines or PEM inserters) for cutting, punching, forming, or inserting fasteners into sheet metal, including copper materials.
- Load tooling, materials, and input control parameters to ensure efficient production.
- Monitor operations and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, blueprints, and work orders to verify parts meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping to keep the work area safe and organized.
What's Needed?
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience with CNC punch/laser combo machines or PEM inserters.
- Background in copper-related fabrication or handling of copper sheet and fasteners.
- Knowledge of tooling, speeds/feeds, CZ40 setups, sheet metal fabrication, and fastener selection.
- Skilled in using basic measurement tools and CAD programs.
- Strong verbal communication and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
