The Patient Educator RN - CNA Instructor is responsible for teaching and evaluating students in the Certified Nursing Assistant Education Program, providing both classroom and clinical instruction. This role requires a Registered Nurse with experience in caring for elderly or chronically ill patients, along with certifications such as BLS and preferred ACLS/PALS. Description
The CNA Program Instructor (RN) is responsible for instruction and evaluation of educational and clinical activities for the Certified Nursing Assistant Education Program. Under direct supervision, provides CNA education services through presentations, class instruction, skill delivery and review, and direct clinical oversight. The CNA Instructor must consistently demonstrate professional performance, and reflect the key moral commitments, ethical principles, values and philosophy of the department as set forward in the mission statement.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Registered Nurse from an approved nursing program.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 1 year experience within the last three years as a Registered Nurse caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age, or both.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Upon hire: BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification or teaching credentials
- 3 years RN experience in an acute care setting.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
