Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a Level II Trauma Center. This position offers a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts and no on-call responsibilities, ideal for advanced practice providers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.
- Perform evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment of acute and urgent conditions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all encounters accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR.
- Participate in maintaining the highest standards of emergency department operations and patient safety.
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Prior experience in Emergency Medicine within a trauma-designated facility preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
