This locum tenens hospitalist role in Ilwaco, Washington offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a rural, acute care, critical access hospital. The position involves managing a diverse patient population with a schedule of one week on and two weeks off, including call duties. Opportunity Overview Join our team as a Locum Hospitalist in the beautiful locale of Ilwaco, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rural, acute care hospital setting, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. The hospital is situated in a critical access facility, ensuring you have a significant impact on the community's healthcare. Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient care to a range of patient age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Commit to a schedule of one week on, followed by two weeks off, with mandatory call duties in the evening. Conduct morning hospital rounds and, as needed, afternoon clinic sessions. Manage an average daily census of six patients, including swing bed care. Work collaboratively within a facility that houses a 24/7 staffed Emergency Department. Position Requirements Must have an active Washington state medical license. Board certifications are desirable, though not specified. Possess current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. DEA certification is mandatory. Experience with Epic charting is preferred. Local candidates are preferred as the position does not accommodate flights; however, mileage and rental car expenses will be reimbursed, and lodging will be provided. Schedule and Compensation Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with block scheduling not available.
