American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with an active Oregon license, BLS certification, and Epic charting proficiency for a hospital-based Operating Room position.
Responsibilities- Hospital Operating Room setting
- Patient population includes pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative surgical cases
- Day and night shifts available, including 4x10-hour days (07:00-17:30) and 3x12-hour nights (19:00-07:30)
- Scheduled weekday shifts are 12 hours, night call shifts are 8 hours (23:00-07:00), and weekend shifts/call are 12 hours
- Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
- Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Strict rules govern requested time off; RTO must be submitted with application and cannot be altered after submission
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers; no mile radius restriction
- Assignment length is a minimum of 13 weeks, with the potential for longer contracts
- Must be able to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements as scheduled
- Active unencumbered OR RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- At least 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Return staff must have been gone for at least 6 months to be eligible
