This facility is part of a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans by providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization operates multiple locations across Minnesota, providing critical evaluation services to support veteran benefits.
Opportunity:
General Medicine Provider
Job Details:
• Perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans• Multiple location options available: Detroit Lakes (2 days/week), Bemidji (1 day/week), Rochester (2 days/week)• Providers must live within a 25-mile radius of their chosen location• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) on a PRN basis• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Eligible specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine• Experience with compensation and pension exams is beneficial• Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires active and unrestricted full medical license• Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA• One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
