The Oncology Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with cancer during night shifts, delivering both direct and indirect care in an oncology unit. Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, patient education, pain management, and support for complex psychosocial and physical patient needs. The RN also serves as a resource for less experienced nurses and collaborates with the healthcare team to respond to changing patient conditions.
The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Helena, Montana to find an Oncology Registered Nurse to join their team.
Qualifications:
Experience: Demonstrated ability to function independently as an Oncology RN.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification: Current Montana RN license and BLS required. Oncology Nursing Certification preferred. Completion of a chemotherapy/oncology course and competency required within 6–12 months of hire; annual competency updates required.
