Medical Director - Inpatient PsychiatryLocation: Winston-Salem, NCBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible in PsychiatryOpportunity Highlights:•Leadership of inpatient behavioral health services, including a 50-bed adult unit and consultation-liaison (CL) services•Day shift, Monday-Friday, plus call rotation•Medical Director role with administrative and clinical responsibilitiesCandidate Qualifications:•Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry•Current medical license•5 years of experience post-residency•Leadership experience preferredResponsibilities & Duties:•Provide leadership and oversight for Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Services, psychiatric hospitalist, and consultation services•Represent psychiatric services to hospital administration and participate in relevant administrative meetings•Engage in community-related partnerships•Act as liaison with medical staff to ensure timely transitions in care•Facilitate prompt CL services for acute care consultations•Serve as a role model and coordinate psychiatric provider workload and call schedules with departmental leadership•Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients•Develop and implement policies and procedures for hospital-based psychiatric services•Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including providers, nursing, therapy, and support staff•Provide clinical oversight for independently licensed mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, etc.) across behavioral health programs, such as crisis hotline, mobile crisis, telehealth, and assessment services•Serve as the primary supervising physician for hospital-employed APP staffBenefits & Perks:•Comprehensive medical and retirement benefits•Paid leave•Malpractice coverage•Strong emphasis on work-life balanceAdditional Compensation Details:•Relocation allowance•Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
