Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician Needed (ASAP - Ongoing)

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Hospitalist Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Manchester, NH. This position offers an exciting chance to work with a highly collaborative medical team in a hospital setting, providing high-quality care to patients and engaging with medical education initiatives. The facility is looking for flexible physicians who can adapt to various shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends.

Job Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
• Assignment: Full-time locum need, equivalent to 2 FTEs
• Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
• Block Schedule: 7 on/7 off
• Shift Requirements: Providers must be willing to work 7 consecutive shifts, preferably 2 weeks per month.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Load: 16-20 patient visits per day, per physician.
• Hospital Setting: The hospital has a closed ICU, and no procedures are required from hospitalist physicians. This allows the team to focus on patient care, hospital operations, and medical education.
• Call Rotation: Call coverage is rotated, and the provider must be open to working both day and night shifts as needed. Weekend coverage is also required.
• Mentorship and Teaching: The ideal candidate will be excited to teach and mentor the next generation of physicians, engaging in various aspects of hospital operations and medical education.

Key Requirements:

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (FM).
• Licensing: Must have or be willing to obtain an active New Hampshire state medical license.
• Experience: Prior experience as a hospitalist is required, along with the ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
• EMR System: Meditech is the EMR used at the hospital. Training on this system will be provided if needed.
