A well-known hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their Radiology team.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 5 shifts per week including weekends
• Hours: 8am to 4pm
• Setting: Acute Care

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that use instruments to treat conditions in the body.
• Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment
• Administer contrast dyes
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH (can be obtained after the offer)

• Eligible Advanced Certifications from ARRT include the following:

  • ARRT (CI) - Cardiac Interventional Radiology

  • ARRT (CV) - Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology

  • ARRT (VI) - Vascular Interventional Radiology

  • Associate's Degree from a Radiologic Technology program

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Minimum one (1) year of experience using angiographic equipment, balloon angioplasty and stenting
