A Neonatology Physician provides specialized medical care to critically ill newborns in a high-acuity Level III NICU within a hospital setting. This role involves working rotating shifts, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, participating in quality improvement and research, and engaging in academic teaching activities. The position requires board certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, with responsibilities including in-house coverage, patient care, and ongoing professional development.
Location: Wichita, Kansas

Schedule: Combination of 8- and 24-hour shifts on a rotating 7-week schedule
Setting: Hospital-based Level III NICU Academic affiliation
Join a team of 8 Neonatologists in a busy, high-acuity 60-bed Level III NICU
Hospital averages 6,000 deliveries/year and 1,000 NICU admissions annually
Daily census: 54 patients
Provide in-house coverage ( 170 hrs/month) plus backup call from home
Supported by residents and NNPs
All services provided except ECMO and cardiac surgery
Participate in quality improvement and research projects
Affiliated with a university medical school teaching and academic opportunities available
Open to new Neonatal-Perinatal Fellows (must be Board Certified in Pediatrics)
Visa candidates (J1 & H1B) welcome
