ScheduleDay/evening shifts from 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM or 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, with on-call rotation typically once a week and every 6th weekend.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. The RN utilizes therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and collaboration with health care team members to deliver care. Compliance with established standards of care and core values is expected.
Responsibilities- Perform ongoing patient assessments focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.
- Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate nursing diagnoses.
- Formulate goal-directed plans of care based on nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
- Implement care in a consistent and knowledgeable manner.
- Document care timely, accurately, and concisely.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and contribute to patient outcomes.
- Follow all hospital, nursing division, and unit-specific policies and procedures.
- Remain flexible in staffing patterns and resolution of conflicts.
- Demonstrate accountability for personal professional practices and ethical decision-making.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
- Participate in staff development and ongoing education.
- Current state nursing license is required.
- Endoscopy training/experience is preferred.
