The Logistics Planner coordinates and optimizes the transportation of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, and customer deliveries to ensure efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities include analyzing transportation modes, resolving freight issues, and complying with safety and quality standards. The role requires familiarity with logistics software, shipping and receiving processes, and strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday

Logistics Planner Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating transport for in-bound/out-bound deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, customer deliveries, and other items used in the manufacturing process
- Analyzing and optimizing the selection of transportation mode and specific carriers based on cost, transit time, equipment availability, etc.
- Receiving product into outside storage facilities through JDE
- Resolving freight delays, carrier problems, customer inquiries, or vendor issues; escalating risks or opportunities as appropriate
- Complying with all company, safety, HACCP, and GMP policies
- Reporting any food safety or quality issues to management or other authorized individuals
Requirements For Logistics Planner:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of related experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation preferred
- Understanding of logistics concepts, planning tools and software
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
- Strong math, reading, comprehension, and communication skills
- Ability to lift/move 10 pounds
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- JDE and TMS experience preferred
