The Clinical Nurse-OR provides direct patient care in a surgical setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on nursing standards. They educate patients and families, promote patient safety, and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized plans of care across the continuum. This role requires an RN license, nursing diploma or higher, and emphasizes working in a high-performing hospital environment specializing in various surgical and medical specialties.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The Surgical Services Department performs emergency, trauma, elective, in-patient, out-patient, and ambulatory/same day surgery. ASD also does pre-and post-procedure assessment and recovery of special procedures patients, and pre-procedure assessment of cardiac cath lab patients. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, GU, GYN, thoracic, ophthalmic, vascular, plastic, neuro, dental, ENT, endoscopic, cardiovascular, and podiatry.
