Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience and ASHA CCC-SLP certification to join a hospital float pool.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital setting as part of a float pool
- Assignments may involve floating between multiple facilities within the health system as staffing needs require
- Inpatient acute care population
- Perform modified barium swallow studies
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- On-call every third weekend from 8:00am to 12:00pm
- Must be able to float between facilities within the health system as needed
- Candidates can expect to work some holidays
- Requests for time off should be kept to a minimum and specified during submission
- Work will remain within the SLP scope of practice unless critical situations arise
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Campus is smoke and nicotine free
- Returning staff must have a one year break before returning
Requirements
- Current SLP license in South Carolina (SCLLR) required if applicable
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Acute care experience required
- Experience performing modified barium swallow studies
