Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Who We Are:

The Main Operating Room is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center, providing surgical care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics. We have 27 Operating Rooms with 7 specialty teams, including general surgery, gynecologic surgery, urologic surgery, robotics, ENT, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery.  We have 4 state-of-the-art robots at Mercy. We offer comprehensive training to include all service lines.

Proposed Schedule: Three 12s, Four 10s or Five 8s (Days)

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required.
Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.  
Experience: Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.  

Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
