A state-of-the-art medical facility in Wellington, Florida is actively seeking one full-time Pathologist Assistant (PA) to join our growing pathology team. This is a hospital-based opportunity offering a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced pathologists.
Position Highlights:Certified Pathologist Assistant (PA-C) required.
Experience in grossing and assisting with frozen sections preferred.
Active Florida medical license or eligibility required.
Work alongside board-certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists.
No autopsy responsibilities.
Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month).
Supportive team environment with grossing responsibilities primarily performed by PAs.
Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
Assist pathologists with frozen sections and specimen adequacy assessment.
Manage and prepare specimens including breast, thoracic, gynecologic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, neurologic, head & neck, and limited hematopathology cases.
Collaborate closely with laboratory staff and pathologists to ensure accurate specimen processing and high-quality patient care.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of gross findings and specimen handling.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills working within a multidisciplinary team.
