Hospital-Based Pathologist Assistant Opportunity Wellington, FLA state-of-the-art medical facility in Wellington, Florida is actively seeking one full-time Pathologist Assistant (PA) to join our growing pathology team. This is a hospital-based opportunity offering a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced pathologists.
Position Highlights:Certified Pathologist Assistant (PA-C) required.
Experience in grossing and assisting with frozen sections preferred.
Active Florida medical license or eligibility required.
Work alongside board-certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists.
No autopsy responsibilities.
Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month).
Supportive team environment with grossing responsibilities primarily performed by PAs.
Key Responsibilities:Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
Assist pathologists with frozen sections and specimen adequacy assessment.
Manage and prepare specimens including breast, thoracic, gynecologic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, neurologic, head & neck, and limited hematopathology cases.
Collaborate closely with laboratory staff and pathologists to ensure accurate specimen processing and high-quality patient care.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of gross findings and specimen handling.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills working within a multidisciplinary team.
