The House Supervisor RN plays a vital leadership role in managing hospital operations during assigned shifts, with a focus on supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient units. This position requires strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and expertise in managing clinical and administrative needs to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight across hospital departments
- Assist ED and inpatient teams with high-acuity situations as needed
- Coordinate patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation
- Support and guide nursing staff to maintain quality and regulatory standards
- Respond to emergencies and assist with rapid assessments and interventions
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital operations during shift
- Current Washington State RN License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience (leadership or travel experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and critical care procedures
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract/state guidelines)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
