Physical Therapists at GW Hospital are essential partners with providers, nurses, social workers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary and support staff in an academic medical center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center that is Defining Medicine. The Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 16-bed CARF Accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility located within GW Hospital and holds specialty accreditation in the areas of stroke and amputation. Our professional rehab staff work alongside other healthcare professionals to enhance patients’ functional recovery, facilitate successful discharges, and elevate patient care through unit and system-based quality initiatives, evidence-based research and practice, and true interdisciplinary care. Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
• Master’s degree in physical therapy preferred
• Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation setting required
• Must have DC License before starting employment

• Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by AHA or Red Cross
