Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Friday-Sunday schedule with 12-hour shifts
• 1:4 patient ratio on a 12-bed unit
• 2 years minimum experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must use Epic and Pyxis systems
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Manage intermediate level patients requiring monitoring interventions no more frequent than 1 hour
• Work in fast-paced environment focused on patient throughput while providing patient-centered care
• All patients on hardwire telemetry self-monitored by RN
• Handle diagnoses including dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Myocardial Ischemia
• Possible floating during low census times
• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must be available to submit compliance documents within 48 hours of signing contract
