Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) provide anesthesia care in a fast-paced, level 1 trauma and community hospital setting, working under a supervised care team model. Providers must have at least two years of experience and cover multiple sites with varying patient volumes, administering anesthesia for complex cases including vascular, neuro, orthopedic, thoracic, and some obstetric procedures. This role requires managing anesthetic drugs and placing epidurals, spinals, and arterial lines without performing regional nerve blocks like brachial plexus blocks.
Providers must live 40 miles away from ALL facilities, Local locums will not be accepted.
LEVEL 1 Trauma Exp. required, fast paced environment!
Support staff: Covering 3 sites (one level 1 Trauma, 2 Community Hospitals) 100% supervised under care team model 1:4. Current Staff made up of 30+ ANES, 70+ CRNAs full time
# of patients per day: Varies depending on location
Hospital bed size: 700
Credentialing timeline: 90-120 days
Additional job specifics:
2 years minimum experience
Will be supervised
Cases include: Large Vascular, Neuro, High Risk OB/GYN, Ortho, General, Thoracic, few Peds locums would not have to do Peds or Hearts.
CRNA's administer their own drugs and place epidurals, spinals and arterial lines. Some Obstetrics, Some Trauma mostly for outpatient surgery. Some- arterial catheters, lumbar epidural catheters and spinal anesthesia. Never- Brachial Plexus blocks or other regional anesthesia blocks
