This locum tenens opportunity is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Anesthesiologist in an inpatient, trauma level 3 hospital near Greensboro, Maryland. The role involves night shifts with responsibilities including general and regional anesthesia, airway management, and participation in teaching and supervision of residents and advanced practice providers. We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for an Anesthesiologist in Maryland, located near Greensboro. Key Details: Location: Near Greensboro, MD Start Date: February 1, 2025 Duration: Ongoing, long-term availability Shift: Nocturnist position, night shifts only (7p-7a). Preference for 7 consecutive nights or Monday-Friday coverage. Call Details: In-house call with a 1:6 ratio. Expect about 10 patients seen per shift, with an average of 10 phone consults and 10 admissions per 24-hour period. Response Time: 5-minute call response required. Facility & Practice Setting: Inpatient setting only (no outpatient). Trauma Level 3. 14 operating rooms. Providers will work alongside a team of CRNAs and two advanced practice providers (PAs/NPs). Resident and teaching supervision required. Skills & Cases Required: General Anesthesia, including adult and pediatric cases. Regional Anesthesia, Spinal and Epidural techniques. Ventilation and acute volume/BP management. Central and arterial line placements, along with PA catheter placement. Management of complex cases in vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and trauma settings. Certifications Required: MD license or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact). ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required. Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days estimated. Support Provided: CRNA supervision is required. Full insurance coverage provided by the vendor.
