Position Highlights: Location: Near Aredale, Iowa Specialty: Emergency Medicine Start Date: December 16, 2024 Contract Length: Ongoing Shift Schedule: Flexible 12-hour shifts (Day: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Night: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Coverage: Scheduled shifts with optional on-call duties Patient Load: 71 patients per day on average Work Environment: Acute care hospital with advanced trauma capabilities (Level 3) Position Details: Work Schedule: Up to 30 shifts per month Both day and night shifts available Holidays observed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Team Support: Robust 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage per shift Patient Demographics: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Requirements: Board Certification: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABPS accepted) Licensure: Iowa license required or IMLC participation Certifications: Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or APLS), MRT for adult and child abuse cases DEA License: Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medicine Charting and EMR: Familiarity with Cerner EMR system Additional Information: Hospital Size: 366 beds Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days Why Apply?
