Job Description:

• Practice Setting: Outpatient hospital-based
• Schedule: 7-day call coverage and procedural time plus 3 additional days of procedural time. Total of 10 days per month.
• Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro
• Onsite Labs & X-Ray
• Outpatient Gastroenterology: Scopes performed Monday through Friday with outpatient scopes starting at 9 am to allow for on-call cases to be completed prior (7-9). This can be adjusted if needed to allow more or less time for add-ons.
• Outpatient Scopes: Average 7-9 per day along with inpatient rounding.
• Inpatient Referrals: Daily during call coverage. Average of 4-5 new consults per day while on call.
• Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: 1-8 procedural scopes per day
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 1-15
• Average Number of Hospital-Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 1-15
• Number of Physicians in Group: 1.5 and 2 APC
• Approximately 40-50 procedures during the 10-day period
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC

Job Duties/Requirements:

• Small Bowel Biopsy
• Lower GI Endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• GI Endoscopy with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
• Board Certified: REQUIRED
• Active OH License & DEA: HIGHLY Preferred; willing to accept IMLC candidates
• ACLS/BLS Certified: REQUIRED
• ERCP: HIGHLY desired, but not required
• Flu Vaccination: REQUIRED, noted at the time of name clear
• COVID Vaccination: HIGHLY Preferred
