Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions, daily follow ups, and discharge planning
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence based practices
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic management
- Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient response to treatment
- Provide psychiatric intervention during crisis situations, including stabilization and de escalation
- Collaborate with nursing, social work, psychology, primary care, and other clinical disciplines
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and care coordination
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards of care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement efforts
- Adult patients admitted for acute inpatient psychiatric treatment
- Patients presenting with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance related disorders, and complex psychiatric and medical comorbidities
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) in which Tower Behavioral Health operates
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration
- Prior experience providing care in an adult inpatient or acute psychiatric hospital setting
- Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Familiarity with regulatory and accrediting standards for inpatient psychiatric services
