We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence through individualized therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility training
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols
- Active state Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license (must be current)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- No holiday coverage required
- Bilingual skills not required
