Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience, active NH or compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 34-bed Same Day Surgery PACU unit
• Patient population includes pre and post-op recovery for gyn, ortho, plastics, vascular, cardiology, and general surgeries
• Patient ratio is 1:2 for phase one recovery
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Shifts vary with hours from 6:00am – 4:30pm, 7:00am – 5:30pm, and 8:00am – 6:30pm
• Responsible for providing pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgeries
• No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 75-mile radius
• Must maintain an active license throughout the assignment

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
