As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the shelter location and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any irregularities.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Interact with individuals at the location in a courteous and respectful manner while upholding security-related standards and procedures.
• Assist with crowd management, access control, and/or other duties as assigned by Allied Universal leadership or site management.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents as needed, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or armed security-related experience. 
• Must pass a Physical Fitness Exam (1 mile run - 12 minutes, 22 sit ups, 12 push ups). 
• CPR certification is preferred.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
