Registered Nurse - Clinical Specialty
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating the care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with patients, their family members, significant others, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to individualize patient care. The RN directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice, as well as administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs under physician guidance.
- Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Direct nursing support staff to ensure compliance with nursing standards and policies.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the area of clinical specialty preferred.
- Current PA Registered Nurse License required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
Schedule
This position offers a 12-hour AM shift schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
