Lead a high-acuity, high-performing ED backed by strong hospital support and a dynamic national group. As Medical Director, you ll be responsible for ED operations, clinical leadership, and strategic collaboration with hospital partners all within a system that values shared ownership and long-term physician growth.
ED Volume: 39,000/year
28 Beds, including 3 QuickCare & "results pending" suite
Admission Rate: 26%
Level IV Trauma Center
Shifts: 8 10-hour MD shifts (based on volume trends)
APP Support: NPs/PAs practice independently; physicians collaborate when needed
Documentation: Cerner FirstNet
Strong Support: Dedicated ED admin staff to handle all consults, admissions, transfers
Flexible Design: ED layout allows immediate conversion to negative-pressure areas
Board-Certified or Board-Prepared in Emergency Medicine
Prior leadership or medical director experience preferred
Strong clinical, operational, and interpersonal skills
Oversee daily operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing and hospital leadership
Supervise emergency medicine staff in accordance with hospital policies/bylaws
Serve as a clinical and professional leader within the department and institution
Represent the ED within the hospital and community
$75,000 Equity Ownership after 2 years (for full-time physicians)
