This locum opportunity is for a board-certified gastroenterologist specializing in interventional radiology procedures within a hospital setting in Virginia. The role involves weekend hospital calls and performing various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, liver biopsy, and esophageal manometry. The physician will work with onsite lab and X-ray facilities, utilizing Epic EMR for outpatient care including gastroenterology and internal medicine cases.

- Liver Biopsy
- Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
- Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
- On average 8 procedures per weekend: GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, Egd, ERCP
