The Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under supervision, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, vital signs, and safe patient transfers in a medical-surgical setting. They also support unit operations through clerical tasks, supply management, and ensuring a safe, clean environment to promote healing. This role requires certification, adherence to regulatory standards, and offers comprehensive employee benefits within a healthcare system.
East Market (Excluding WI): Must meet one of the following requirements:
- 6 months of nursing assistant experience
OR
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
OR
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
OR
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
If qualified through the Essentia Health Foundation Course East Market (Excluding WI):
- Completion of Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation course within 90 days of hire
