Job Title: Income Tax Consultant
Location: Remote working Mountain Standard time, 30 to 40 hours a week
Duration: mid-January to April
Position Type: Contract / Consulting Engagement
Hourly Rate: $60 to $70 an hour
Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Tax Professional to assist with reviewing approximately 500 Federal and State Partnership and Trust returns. This is a review-focused role—you will perform first-level reviews and return work to staff for learning and corrections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Partnership and Trust tax returns.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance for entities covering a wide range of industries, Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Business Development and more.
- Provide feedback to staff after review for training purposes.
- Work with tax software ProSystem.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Extensive experience reviewing complex Partnership and Trust returns.
- Knowledge of federal/state income tax regulations
- Proficiency in ProSystem preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of multi-state filings and industry-specific tax issues.
