Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Labor and Delivery RN to join a vital healthcare team in Goodland, Kansas. This position offers a unique chance to combine L&D expertise with med-surg skills in a facility that handles approximately 30 births per year. Work 3 shifts per week—12-hour nights from 6:45 pm to 7:00 am—without on-call duties, providing a predictable schedule that balances work and life. Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of recent L&D and Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Critical access hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in patient care for all ages across various hospital units
- Ability to handle a variety of patient populations, including obstetrics, ER, and med-surg patients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- ER experience is a plus
- Experience with critical access facilities
- PALS, ENPC, or TNCC certifications
- Experience working with diverse patient ratios, including 1:1 in L&D and 1:4 ER patients
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Active nursing license in Kansas or ability to obtain
- At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience, with a focus on L&D and med-surg settings
Other Requirements:
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (can be completed on-site)
- Must be comfortable working in a small hospital environment
- No on-call obligations
- Willingness to work in a variety of hospital areas during shifts
