Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with strong cardiac stepdown background for a float pool position in a hospital stepdown unit, requiring an Ohio or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital stepdown setting as part of the HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool
- Care for adult cardiac stepdown patients
- Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), with the possibility of variable shifts based on operational needs
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Floats between stepdown units as needed
- Must work at least every other holiday
- Assignment may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, with a 6-month waiting period before returning
- All hours worked must be submitted using the Qualivis Lotus system
- Two professional references required for consideration
Requirements
- Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown required (travel experience accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
- Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation
- Progressive care/PCU experience preferred but not required
