Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (4x12s available upon request)
• Up to 52 weeks available by request
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 (goal ratio is 4:1, but consistently work at 5:1)
• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Open Heart/Thoracic PCU position with post heart surgery experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix (no titration)
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen delivery, and non-invasive airway management
• Remote telemetry monitoring with unit-based monitors
• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical level units
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Christmas time off requests cannot be approved

The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
