American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an adult outpatient rehab assignment requiring lymphedema certification and at least one year of outpatient experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in an adult outpatient rehabilitation facility
- Day shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Patient population includes adults to geriatrics, with diagnoses such as stroke, orthopedic cases (shoulder, hands, UE), MS, TBI, and Guillain-Barré
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Epic EMR and SBAR communication systems are used; Epic experience required
- Rare floating within the facility may be required
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Major holiday coverage required according to assignment dates
- Return travelers must be away from all related facilities for 1 full year to be eligible
- Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit
- Must comply with all onboarding and compliance requirements before start date
- Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed; no requests permitted during the first week of the assignment
- Dress code allows black scrubs or business casual attire
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active GA State OT license required if applicable
- Lymphedema certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient OT experience
- Ability to perform assessments, discharge planning, evaluations, reassessments, and provide patient/family education
- Experience with lifting, transfers, adaptive equipment, and pre-discharge planning
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system required
